Welcome to the South Australia, Northern Territory and Overseas Chapter!

This Chapter services all SENG members who are residents of SA, the NT, and overseas members who do not currently reside in one of the other states served by an operating Chapter.

We recognise that becoming a sustainable society is one of the biggest challenges that faces all of us. SENG fully endorses Engineers Australia's Code of Ethics, which states that engineering practitioners must act in the interest of the community and sustainability ahead of sectional interests. SENG also fully endorses the Climate Change Position Statement held by Engineers Australia which recognises the urgency of the climate crisis and the pivotal role that engineers will have in overcoming it.

We welcome non-members, who feel they would like to be more involved. Events will be advertised on this website and the Engineers Australia website, but if you would like some more information, or have an idea for a seminar topic, please contact one of the committee members.

Typical topics include:

  • Energy
  • Renewables
  • Transport
  • Urban Design
  • Economics
  • Infrastructure
  • Waste, Recycling, Resource conservation, Life cycle analysis
  • Water, Waste Water, Water sensitive urban design
