Mr Nicholas Low and Mr Phil Carter

Nicholas Low is a Professor at the University of Melbourne and Co-Director at the Australasian Centre for the Governance and Management of Urban Transport (GAMUT). He has an extensive publication record, recently with the book, Transforming Urban Transport: The ethics, politics and practices of sustainable mobility. He will discuss the problem of path dependence and change to a more sustainable model of urban transport.
Phil Carter is a Planner in the Integrated Environments Group at Arup. He will discuss his work on smart cities/streets in the US and also locally.
