This event will examine the opportunities and challenges for Australia and especially, the engineering profession, to reshape its industries and society to meet the global challenge of emissions reductions required to meet the safe climate goals set at the 2015 Paris climate conference and reviewed at COP24 2018 in Poland. The topic will be addressed from perspectives of
(a) latest scientific assessments on climate and emissions trends; and

The SENG committee invites anyone interested in discovering more about our society and the 2019 event program to come to our 2019 season launch!
Join us for drinks, networking and a presentation on the society’s upcoming events for 2019.
Following presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to nominate for committee positions.

2018 Annual Environmental Student Evening
The annual student awards night allows Environmental Engineering and Science undergraduate students from Queensland universities to feature their thesis and project work to an audience of industry professionals and fellow students.
The event also allows a demonstration of the directions in current environmental research and shows the diversity and quality of thesis studies from all over Queensland.
Final year environmental engineering and science students from universities in Queensland are invited to attend and present their research or project work.
