Energy from Waste

Energy from Waste (EfW) is utilised in many parts of the world as the primary method of municipal wastes management that also has the benefits of energy recovery and wastes sterilisation.  It is a one of the levels on the wastes hierarchy and complements reuse and recycling.

Noosa Fish Kills - What really happened?

In August 2008 the Noosa River Aust Bass spawned 2 million embryos and most developed with 2 heads and 2 hearts and died within 48 hours.

This year the Noosa River Sea mullet had severe deformities like the Noosa River Aust Bass with 2 and 3 heads then 2 and 3 tails. All the Noosa River Sea Mullet embryos died.

The travelling Noosa Mullet hatched but only a handful lasted a few weeks before dying. Without reproduction the river fish will all die out as no young ones will replace the adults.
