The SENG committee invites anyone interested in discovering more about our society and the 2019 event program to come to our 2019 season launch! Join us for drinks, networking and a presentation on the society’s upcoming events for 2019. Following presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to nominate for committee positions. Finger food will be provided with beverages to be purchased at the bar.

Globally, transport is responsible for around a seventh of greenhouse gas emissions. Of this approximately two thirds are due to passenger travel and one third is due to freight. Synopsis:
Perfluorinated Chemicals (PFCs) are man-made chemicals which are very stable chemicals that do not break down in the environment and can persist for a long time both in the environment and in humans. They have been used by numerous industries and are contained in products such as in textiles, leather products, metal plating, protective coating, cleaning products, pesticides and fire fighting foams. These substances have recently been the cause of Ground Water contamination in Oakey and Williamtown. This session will look at the potential risks and impacts associated with these substances as well potential future regulation in QLD on these substances
